Cherry Polymers is part of Cherry Plastics Group and is one of Irelands largest plastic Reprocessing companies and operate an NIR (Near Infra Red) plastic bottle sorting facility and wash facility, based near Crumlin, Co. Antrim.

The bottle sorting plant is the largest and most advanced of its kind in Ireland, it uses state of the art NIR (Near Infra Red) and Colour Sorting technology from Titech Vision Sort, Germany, to sort plastic bottles by polymer type and colour. Our Wash Plant is one of the largest and most technologically advanced Polyolefin wash plants in Europe, providing high automation and superior cleaning.

The Wash plant demonstrates our continual commitment to protecting the environment through the use of a state of the art integrated water treatment plant. The waste water from the wash process is filtered and purified allowing it to be continually used in the washing process.

Cherry Polymers provides closed loop recycling of plastics giving councils and MRF's (Material Recovery Facilities) full traceability of the waste plastics from their dry recyclables.

Cherry Polymers operations take plastic from the waste streams and reprocess it into material suitable for use by plastic manufacturing companies, one of which is Cherry Drainage Pipes, a sister company of Cherry Polymers, who use the material in the manufacture of their wide range of plastic drainage systems. These products are supplied into the Agricultural, Civil Engineering, and Construction industries throughout the United Kingdom and Ireland.
