Sentinus Project
25th November 2009
Ballyclare High School pupils Kirk Johnston, Alan Davis, Stephen Donnan and Jamie Clark will be taking time away from their studies this year to work with Cherry Polymers as part of the Team Sentinus R&D scheme.
They will be working in school, on site, and with the University of Ulster at Jordanstown, to remove contaminants from the bales of plastic bottle's entering the recycling facility.
"We are all interested in careers in engineering and it's been fascinating to apply what we've learnt in school to a real world problem." said Stephen.
Kirk added "We feel privileged to be working together with such a high class company as Cherry Polymers and the University of Ulster at Jordanstown".
We would like to thank everyone there for giving us this opportunity."
